PPID Profile UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta
UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is committed to providing public information services in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure. To implement these public information services, the Rector issued Rector's Decree Number 1657 of 2023 concerning the Appointment of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Referring to the aforementioned Law, Chapter I, General Provisions, Article 1, point 9, the Information and Documentation Management Officer is the official responsible for the storage, documentation, provision, and/or servicing of information within a public body.
At UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the PPID is appointed through a Rector's Decree with a vision, mission, main tasks, and functions that support the achievement of good university governance. The Vice Rector for General Administration is appointed as the Main PPID, supported by Deputy I (Head of the General Administration and Personnel Bureau), Deputy II (Head of the Planning and Finance Bureau), and Deputy III (Head of the Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation Bureau). Meanwhile, the other vice rectors (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, and Vice Rector for Cooperation) serve as the PPID Advisory Team.
Furthermore, the Implementing PPID itself consists of four divisions. These are the Center for Information and Public Relations as the Implementing PPID for Information Services; the Center for Public Relations and Legal Aid Services as the Implementing PPID for Dispute and Complaint Services; the Center for Technology, Information, and Data (Pustipanda) as the Implementing PPID for Information Technology Services; and finally, the Implementing PPID for the Data Sector. This last Implementing PPID is composed of divisions, centers, and working teams at the rectorate, bureau, institutional, and faculty levels.
Superior Officer of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID)
Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D. is the Superior Officer of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He was inaugurated as the Rector of UIN Jakarta for the 2023–2027 period by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, on March 1, 2023, at the H.M. Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Jakarta. He was born in Pandeglang, Banten, on December 16, 1969.
He completed his bachelor's degree (S1) in the Department of Comparative Schools of Law, Faculty of Sharia, IAIN Jakarta (1995). His master's degree (S2) was obtained from McGill University, Canada (1999), in Islamic Studies–Islamic Law. He continued his doctoral studies (S3) at Leipzig University, Germany, in Arabic Language and Philology (2005). Previously, he was an alumnus of the Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo, East Java.
Before becoming rector, Prof. Asep served as the Director of the Postgraduate School at UIN Jakarta (2019–2023) and the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM). He was inaugurated as a Professor in the Sociology of Islamic Law on December 16, 2020. In addition to actively writing and appearing in various national and international scientific forums, he also serves on the Advisory Board of the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Council (PCNU) Waqf Institute of South Tangerang.
Main Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID)
Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A., serves as the Main Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta for the 2023–2027 term. Appointed as the Vice Rector for General Administration on March 15, 2023, he completed his undergraduate studies (S1) in the Islamic History and Civilization Program and earned his doctorate (S3) from the UIN Jakarta Postgraduate School with a concentration in Islamic thought. He then completed his academic titles by becoming a professor in the field of the Anthropology of Religion on November 11, 2023.
As a professor in the Anthropology of Religion, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A., has produced numerous scholarly works and academic literature; Antropologi Quran (Anthropology of the Quran) is his most popular work. Additionally, he has conducted extensive research on religious moderation in Southeast Asia, particularly within the Indonesian context.
Before serving as vice rector, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, M.A., was the head of the Center for Research and Publication (Kapuslitpen) at LP2M UIN Jakarta in 2019. Under his leadership, he played a crucial role in the liquidation settlement and operational development of the Hajj Hospital.
